Winter Activities in Panguitch Lake UtahPanguitch Lake is only 20 Minutes away from Skiing at Brian Head Utah. There are two separate hills at Brian Head. Navajo for beginners and Giant Steps for intermediate slopes. There is a small snowboard park at Giant Steps. Navajo offers ski lessons. If you don't have skis the resort offers rentals. Snowmobiles can also be rented in Brian Head. Panguitch Lake freezes over in the winter time and offers snowmobiling, ice fishing, and solitude. There are miles of great trails to snowmobile around the lake and at nearby Cedar Breaks Monument. On warm days you can sit out on the ice but for the die hards the ice can get thick enough for shacks. In the winter time eagles and other large birds can be seen around the lake.
